This plan sets out to govern over the Plan for the Use of Port Spaces. It establishes a detailed urban planning scheme for said infrastructure while becoming a channel to dialogue between the Port and the City and even between the Port and the Island.
Its aim is to cover the current and future needs of the port infrastructures (either in relationship with actual port uses or in relationship with complementary activities or in coordination with urban areas). Likewise, it aims to adequately handle the tasks provided by the Port for a new scenario envisaged for the Island. It adapts its spaces and functions to the new demands and circumstances that affect it (or will affect it in the more or less immediate future).
