The municipality of Guía de Isora is located on the leeward side of Tenerife. Its Protected Natural Areas amount to 57% of the municipal area. The municipality is home to areas of great heritage value. The urban centre itself, which was declared as a cultural interest asset under the category of “Historical Ensemble, should be highlighted.” The General Urban Zoning Plan for Guía de Isora makes a strong commitment to tourism in qualitative rather than quantitative terms. Despite having a moderate accommodation capacity compared to other municipalities in the south, it includes several establishments that represent the tourism excellence, such as those located in the area of La Jaquita (Alcalá) or the Abama land sector (for tourist use and linked to the golf course of the same name).
