The municipality of Tinajo represents 15.90% of the total area of Lanzarote. It features a tremendously evocative volcanic landscape, almost half of which is considered a Protected Natural Area. Its interior is characterised by traditional settlements with volcanic and sandy agricultural spaces of great value in terms of landscaping heritage. The La Santa Sport tourist area is located along the coast. This establishment is a European leader in terms of sports tourism and sustainability, housing the largest geothermal installation in Spain.
